Peel Regional Police NOT Peel Regional Police
MISSISSAUGA WATCH: www.mississaugawatch.caCITIZEN ALERTS IMPORTANT WHAT TO DO IF YOU OR YOUR CHILD HAS HAD AN INCIDENT INVOLVING MISSISSAUGA CORPORATE SECURITY OR CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF MISSISSAUGA STAFF Procedure for self-protection following any incident involving Mississauga Corporate Security or Corporation of the City of Mississauga Staff MOST IMPORTANT! For your own protection regardless of whether you are in the wrong, as soon as practical after an incident, file a Freedom of Information form requesting: All records, emails, and any other documents pertaining to [your name]. All records, emails, and any other documents including any video surveillance footage pertaining to the incident of [date] at [location] involving [your name] and [Mississauga Corporate Security or City staff]. The filing fee is .00. Forms are available here: City of Mississauga ONLINE FORM: Access / Correction Request – Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Why this is important A Freedom of Information request (FOI) immediately protects the requested documents from deletion based on the Citys official Records Retention Policy. Without such a request, video surveillance footage can be erased after only five days. Do not assume that because you were in the wrong, there is no reason to file your FOI! Your records on file with the City can contain gross errors. In particular, FOI has shown that Mississauga Corporate Security records can be inaccurate amd severely …

Hi there, 99pitbulls,
re: Response Units.
People haven’t a clue about them. To show you how clueless I was at first, I thought they were government police!
WTF are they you ask? They ARE security guards. Guards for the City of Mississauga that are exempt –not required to follow the code? of conduct, standards, licensing and especially the independent complaints process of the Province’s Bill 159 “Security Investigative Act”.
Law unto Themselves. Unaccountable KNOBS!
it all depends from which legal standpoint you? are coming from
from what it looks like, the new Response Unit cars including both the new V6 chargers and the impalas have no more lightbars. Did they switch to concealed dash/mirror/visor lights? And I know they dont usually bother with the HTA but do they have the authority to pull a car over? Are? their cars equipped with red & white flashing lights or just amber/orange?
The only reason you’ll ever have problems with “Mississauga Corporate Security” is if YOU are doing something to warrant it. They DO NOT harass people without cause. I’ve been to many many city/region-run facilities (libraries, community centres, city hall) and I’ve never had a? single problem.
Hi VictoryforIsrael, I see you’re now spreading your ignorant opinions here. Like I said before, I’m the one with $3,000 worth of Freedom of Information documents. Just last Council meeting, Councillor Pat Saito called for youth bans to become public information. She mistakenly announced that Mississauga Corporate Security do not ban kids instantly and that various? steps are taken before Youth are banned. That is FALSE! MissCorpSec bans kids as young as 9/10 for 30 days. FIRST AND ONLY STEP!
Don’t try to deflect my point: people only get banned when they cause trouble. Groups of security guards don’t just patrol the streets arbitrarily banning ten-year-olds from community? centres.
Hi PROSTR33TZ, I can confirm that the Mississauga Corporate? Security (MissCorpSec) Chargers have an internal front light bar that flashes blue. I’m not aware of any new Impalas at this point. Also old Impalas were just amber/orange.
You asked whether they have the authority to pull a car over. I’ve filed over $2,000 in Freedom of Information \and can confirm that they don’t bother with whether they have the authority. MissCorpSec violates all manner of Acts, policies, guidelines -even by-laws.
Wow. surprising, I have yet to see a MissCorpSec car with its lights on, but I have seen a close up now, and noticed the concealed LED lights. And its funny you say they flash blue, because blue is reserved for Snow Plows in ontario mandated by the HTA, but there exists an exception for “police” vehicles which may use? blue in COMBINATION with red. If these cars use just blue, its a clear violation of the Highway Traffic Act, and im surprised noone has brought that up to the provincial government
You may be making a valid argument. BUT i think MISSISSAUGAWATCH has done enough research to show that those city rent-a-pigs dont follow policy. I? mean the only time I’ve had trouble with the Response Unit was getting caught with my girlfriend in the park after 11. The guy was surprisingly nice drove us out and let us off. But the problem seems to be the lack of a proper training, accountability and no watchdog to look over their actions. Serious for a private agency doing police work.
Hi PROSTR33TZ, Actually the MissCorpSec car in this video is an old Impala and I’m not entirely sure what lights they use? except amber.
I just watched video of Mississauga Transit Enforcementn “302″ car and they flash blue and some other colour (possibly amber —perhaps red).
And looks like the MIssCorpSec Chargers might run the same lights (flash blue and some lighter colour –amber, red…)
Neither flash exclusively blue.
Hope that helps.
Your wrong, i am a youth, and me and my friends have been constantly harrased by these security fucks. They even went as far as threatning to arrest us if we didn’t leave for no reason other than? us being inside the library.
seems to me like a bunch of cop wanna bes that cant pass tests we leo’s have. sad.? power tripped idiots like the nsa bone head pervs looking into naked body scans. seems victoryforisrael is a member of that thing or friends/relative. security is power tripped goons.
what? losers.
By? “losers” I assume you mean the City of Mississauga Corporate Security quasi-fascist knobs, right?
@syshackers
They dont need a reason to remove you from their premise. Its under the tresspass to property act. The only reason why security guards have any sort of descretion is because they are still employees, and are very expendable exployees. Too many complaints over random infractions will result in their termination.
But with that? in mind, they can remove you from the grounds.
I dont understand how you can mistake these vehicles. I suppose if either of them were following you, and threw on their lights; you would pull over. However, approaching these vehicles, or even seeing them infront of me I could easily discern the difference. One clear, and obvious trait that Police cars possess is the word, “Police” written on the side of? the vehicle. If it doesn’t say Police, then its not a Police officer.
@Phyrexius69 Hi there? and thanks for your comments. This video is two years old and City of Mississauga Security no longer uses Impalas (some of Peel Police fleet remain Impalas). City of Mississauga Security has switched over 100% to white Dodge Chargers, just like Peel Police.
Trust me, from a distance it is tough to tell the difference. You are correct about the word “POLICE” on the marked Police cruisers.
At night more difficult to tell the difference.
Thanks and take care.
@MISSISSAUGAWATCH enough of this shit, please for god? sakes.
@interpol007
“enough of this shit, please for god? sakes”, yeah, no kidding eh? Those City of Mississauga rogue security guards really are shit, aren’t they?
Far as I can determine the ONLY municipal security operation in Ontario NOT SUBJECT to Bill 159 (Security Act) because Mississauga Council passed a by-law declaring their guards “peace officers”. (Peace officers are exempt from Bill 159).
It’s not just “shit” we have? to deal with but also Fraud (deliberate deception) and corruption.
@MISSISSAUGAWATCH Did any of these officers hurt anyone? Falsely detained? Used excessive force? And please back your accusations (thats all they are? until you source your information) up
@MISSISSAUGAWATCH?
Would you be able to give me the proper name and number of this by-law
@TheNunner11
I deleted my original response, please ignore. (I wasn’t searching properly!)
Just found it in the minutes.
“0163-2009 A by-law to amend By-law 0299-2004, being a by-law to appoint City employees as Municipal Law Enforcement Officers for the purpose of enforcing municipal by-laws
This is a housekeeping matter
BL. 08″
There were actually SIX By-Laws not on the agenda that day sneaked? past the public and elected officials.
Here. Watch on YouTube. watch?v=_RI_bjZMeVo
@interpol007
Man you have low LOW standards for security guards (and calling them “officers” is both fraudulent and offensive!).
Freedom of Information confirms chronic lack of compliance to City (and Provincial) guidelines, policies and even legislation. And that’s from? bosses on down.

No oversight. Recent interview with a commissioner –finally got admission.
how come the peel police dont have? spotlights?
@MrTriplehfan i think they use their siren lights as spot lights? i have seen toronto police use their siren lights as spot lights
