I ‘m going to install Windows 7 Professional on my laptop soon and I wanted to know what would be the best Anti-Virus Internet Security software to use. McAfee? Norton? Avast? Other? I’m using the 32 bit and I want something that is not going to slow down my computer but yet powerful and effective enough to keep me safe. I was wondering if all anti-virus/ security software cost money. Is there anything good and reliable that doesn’t cost anything? But if not which software would you recommend.
Preferably something that includes both anti-virus and firewall. I’ve been using Norton for years, but I’ve seen many bad reviews about the new Norton 360 program.
Is the anti-virus enough?? Or do I need a security suite?? Does the security suite slow down the computer or throw in annoying firewalls that block file sharing programs??
What is the best thing to do?
It seems if I go with a straight antivirus software I should get BitDefender….but Norton if I want a Security Suite….
