WHAT IS CCTV?

www.whoisbid.com What really is the concept of a cctv camera? The official definition of CCTV is closed circuit television. Is not the CCTV a remote extension of the eye? Who is going to be monitoring all activity? Surely humans do not have the resources? What about the rise of intelligent CCTV that can judge people’s movements and actions by using advanced algorithms that have normal human behavior patterns plugged into the software. The question we might want to ask if these machines arise is 1. What is normal behavior 2. What is going to be monitored and for what reason 3. Will CCTV robots be used not only for security but also applications that enable corporations to have a business advantage? 4. Where will they be installed and what will be the first choice ie what devices will they be associated with the most because with the lowered costs in manufacturing it is now possible to combine sensor devices and monitors and purchasing multiple units of cctv will not be a problem Of course this might not happen but then again some people think that technology is moving closer to it.
